There’s paint drying somewhere in my closet. A sketchbook I stopped filling. An instrument I can still almost play. Roblox until 3am. Dancing badly. Writing songs nobody was ever going to hear. Crochet. Playing outside until the streetlights came on. Life got serious so slowly I never noticed the exact day I put all of it down. Btw, poetry book ‘Between Heaven & Earth’ is out now. Thank god I replied. Thank god I said yes. Thank god I stayed a little longer than I meant to. Thank god I stopped pretending I wasn’t already falling.
