We are absolutely loving our new Saunum AutoLeil! The bursts of steam create the most incredible, even heat throughout the sauna, making every session feel so much more comfortable and enjoyable. A little tip: To avoid flooding the heater, once the AutoLeil has released a burst of steam, you’ll need to wait one minute before it’s ready to dispense again. 🇫🇮 Fun fact: In Finland, the steam created when water is poured onto the hot sauna stones is called löyly (pronounced LUH-luu). It’s much more than just steam, it’s considered the soul and spirit of the sauna experience. ☺️

Big things are coming to Sweat It over the next month ☺️ We’re excited to be upgrading our sauna heater to the incredible Saunum Experience 9kW Pro heater. Designed to create a softer, more balanced heat experience, the Saunum system helps circulate the air evenly throughout the sauna, meaning less harsh heat on your face and easier breathing while still giving you that deep sweat we all love 🤗 One of the things we’re most excited about… the Himalayan salt spheres. The Saunum heater passes the steam through natural Himalayan salt balls, helping create a smoother, more enjoyable sauna experience while adding another beautiful element to the space. We’ll also be removing the traditional bucket and ladle setup and upgrading to an automatic water dispensing system for a more seamless steam experience, this will also help protect our new heater. We’re always looking at ways to improve and bring you the best possible experience 👌🏻

At Sweat It ~ Sauna & Magnesium Pool, we invite you to slow down and step away from the everyday. Our traditional sauna and magnesium pool work together to support recovery, relaxation and overall wellbeing. Whether you visit solo, with a partner or with friends, your session is completely private, no crowds, no rush, just time to unwind and reset. As most of you are probably aware by now, we are officially open and taking bookings! We were completely overwhelmed by our first week and feel so grateful to everyone who jumped straight on and booked a session, your support truly means the world to us. A huge thank you as well to everyone who has liked, followed and shared our pages. Every bit of support helps more than you know. We can’t wait to welcome you 🫶🏻 A special shout out to Nic from @_nb_media, who captured our space so beautifully and truly brought our vision to life, and to our two stunning models for generously giving their time, we couldn’t have done it without you 🥰 For anyone wondering where our sauna is from, we purchased it through @shymsaunas, such an amazing experience from start to finish.

Content pillars

AI-clustered themes the account posts about, with example posts pulled live from Instagram.

  1. 01

    Facility Upgrades

    27.00%

Behind-the-scenes coverage of new equipment, renovations, and product arrivals. It works because it gives followers a reason to return and builds anticipation. Posts in this pillar consistently earn the account's highest organic engagement.

  2. 02

    Health & Wellness Education

    23.00%

Benefit-led posts explaining the science behind sauna use, cold plunging, and contrast therapy. Short bullet lists make the content skimmable and shareable. This pillar builds credibility and attracts cold audiences searching for wellness content.

  3. 03

    Promotions & Offers

    17.00%

Time-limited deals, partner discount codes, and gift certificate pushes. These posts drive direct bookings and reward loyal followers. They perform well when paired with a clear deadline or a partner tag.

  4. 04

    Brand Story & People

    17.00%

Personal owner introductions, behind-the-scenes running commentary, and relatable family-business moments. Authenticity here earns comments and saves because followers feel connected to Josh and Patty personally.

  5. 05

    UGC & Partner Collabs

    10.00%

Reposts and co-created content from photographers, fitness partners, and clients. This pillar adds social proof and reaches new audiences through partner account followers. It currently represents a small but high-performing share of the feed.

  6. 06

    Motivational Filler

    6.00%

Short inspirational captions with minimal context, often posted without a strong visual hook. These posts fill gaps in the calendar but consistently earn the lowest engagement on the account.

Strategy summary

What's working, what to fix, and what to ship next.

TL;DR

The single strongest lever for @sweatitsaunas is leaning hard into facility upgrade content. Posts [22], [9], and [3] show that equipment reveals and in-progress renovation updates outperform every other format on this account. Post [9] alone pulled 6,266 likes, and post [22] hit 147 likes, both multiples above the account average. The upgrade narrative gives followers a reason to keep watching and a reason to book, and it is currently underused relative to the motivational filler that fills gaps with near-zero engagement.

The biggest leak is posting cadence. At 1.6 posts per week against a healthy niche benchmark of 4, the account is leaving reach on the table every single week. The content that already works, upgrades, cold plunge education, and personal brand storytelling (post [8] with 9 comments, post [19] with 92 likes), does not need to be reinvented. It needs to be produced more consistently and scheduled around the Thursday to Saturday window where most high-engagement dates cluster.

Partner collabs and UGC (posts [15], [29], [7]) punch above their weight and cost the account almost nothing to produce. Formalising a monthly content swap with @anytimefitnesslaunceston and the underwater photographer would double output without doubling workload.

Working

5
  • Facility upgrade reveals and equipment unboxings drive the highest likes and comments on the account.
  • Personal owner storytelling (posts 8 and 19) earns strong comment counts and builds trust with the local audience.
  • Cold plunge contrast therapy content consistently attracts saves and shares because it has clear educational value.
  • Partner and UGC reposts from the underwater photographer (posts 15 and 29) expand reach at zero production cost.
  • Time-limited promotions like the July bring-a-friend offer (post 4) generate above-average engagement and direct bookings.

Risks

5
  • Posting cadence is too low at 1.6 per week. Increase to at least 4 posts per week to maintain algorithmic reach.
  • Generic motivational quotes (posts 23, 5 text-only versions) add nothing distinctive and should be cut or replaced.
  • Several posts have empty captions (posts 0 and 11) which wastes every impression that content receives.
  • Reels are rare but outperform images. The account needs a minimum of one reel per week to grow reach.
  • Comment volume is very low overall. Adding a direct question at the end of each caption would improve this.

Ship next

5
  • Build a 4-post-per-week content calendar anchored around upgrade milestones, one educational post, one personal story, and one reel each week.
  • Document the next facility change (new spray system, lighting) across 3 to 4 sequential posts to stretch one event into a content series.
  • Add a clear question or call to action at the end of every caption to increase comment rate from its current near-zero baseline.
  • Formalise a monthly content swap with Anytime Fitness Launceston and the underwater photographer to hit reel output targets without extra filming.
  • Schedule posts between 7 and 9am or 6 and 8pm on Thursdays and Saturdays to align with when this audience is most active.
