The park is famous for its stunning hoodoos (those tall, thin spires of rock raising behind me, more clear on the second picture) The way this canyon was formed is slightly different from the usual: Over millions of years, rainwater seeps into the cracks of the rock. When temperatures drop, the water freezes and expands, causing the rock to break apart. This park has the largest concentration of hoodoos in the world!
